New Hobby

So I bought some paints and some little Warhammer 40k miniatures to try and paint. This will be my 8th time in my life I've tried to start a model/miniature paint hobby. Lets hope this time goes better. :)

So far so good. I successfully cut the plastic pieces out and shaved the excess with my razor with only stabbing my thumb once.

New Star Trek series soon?

Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer getting together for a new Star Trek show? Makes me want to rub myself with Tribbles.

Fuller, who wrote for “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Star Trek: Voyager” before he created “Dead Like Me,” “Wonderfalls” and “Pushing Daisies,” scripted the best episodes of “Heroes’” first season, including the killer Noah Bennet episode “Company Man.”

By the way, Fuller tells AICN exclusively that the two Bryans, who have long (but separately) contemplated new “Star Trek” TV series, have discussed the possibility of pooling their resources to take a new corner of Gene Roddenberry’s multiverse to the small screen. Hopefully J.J. Abrams and Les Moonves will give them the keys to Starfleet HQ.

I liked DS9, Voyager, TNG, Enterprise, and Original in that order. I miss not seeing a weekly Star Trek show on TV.

Got a new WiFi modem a few weeks ago, just finally installed it (well, Sam did..) and now my interwebs are a mind blowing 1Gps. O_O On the flip side to that coin, my computer has decided recently to crash on me almost daily. No blue screen of death, just up and freeze till I turn it off from the tower. Damn thing ain't even paid off yet. >:(

Super Bowl

Was the super bowl today? Huh, funny that...I don't give a shit. Two teams I could care less about. I guess I'd watch for the commercials but Canada don't get them. 0_o

So...Izabella's new thing is to look at you and snarl when you are telling her to stop doing something. I think she gets it from her Mom and sister....they sometimes growl to show disapproval. 0_o

Movie Review: Underworld Awakening

The movie starts off fast, lots of action, lots of gore. They pack allot of background from the other movies into a quick flashback to get everyone up to date. The flow of the movie is good, no slow parts or parts where the plot (what little there is of it) gets lost. There are a few WTF? moments where your thinking to yourself, "Are they gunna explain that?" or "OK, that just happened..." Overall score: 6.5 out of 10. :) 3D was obviously done in post. Some scenes it was very prominent, such as where she was throwing something or glass flying, but for the most part it was lack luster. 3D score: 4.5 out of 10. -_-

Going to see Underworld tonight, in 3D. I hope it's better than most of the 3D movies they put out now-a-days. Avatar was the only one I've seen that was shot with 3D cameras, the others were made 3D in post. That shit burger Clash of the Titans had two 3D scenes that I can remember. And they want an extra 4 to 6 bucks for that shit. >:( Seems like every big action movie is going 3D now. That's all well and good, but FFS people, do that shit right. On a positive note: at least the glasses they provide fit over my glasses well. :)
